Car Parking Information

We have recently changed the layout of the car park. We now have a Staff only area and a Patient only area. This has increased the number of spaces for patients to 6, including 1 disabled bay.  If the car park is full there is alternative parking nearby at Sainsburys, Maryport Street, Monday Market Street or Sidmouth Street.

Thank you very much in advance for your co-operation in this matter.

THE PATIENTS LIAISON GROUP

Dear Fellow Patient,

The ‘Friends of St James Surgery’ is the officially recognized Patients Liaison Group charged with the responsibility of forging a meaningful relationship with the Doctors and their support staff.

All registered patients are automatically entitled to membership.

Through very successful fund-raising, we have been able to purchase a range of equipment for the Surgery, items which are directly of benefit to patients’ wellbeing and comfort whilst attending the surgery.  Our social and fund-raising events are increasingly well attended and our ‘100 Club’ has proved to be a resounding success.

On your behalf we constantly seek close contact with the Doctors, Nurses and Practice Staff, so that we can tell them what you think, what you would like to see happening and, of course, draw their attention to any shortcomings which we as a body are experiencing.

We also welcome the feedback received from the staff about measures they are taking to improve the care and service which they provide and also keeping us abreast of changes in the health care system.

It would be good to see the younger generation represented on the committee.  If you do feel able to help, please get in touch with myself or one of my fellow officers, through Reception at the surgery.

Rest assured, we will keep you informed about the future and please check our notice board in the porch for details of events etc.
